Straight talk: Mouth Kiss

This is a segment I call, Straight talk with Mark Elliot.

I know some feeling may be hurt by this declaration but I feel it's an important issue to be addressed.
If your social network profile photo is of you kissing a child full on the mouth, it's weird. Really it is. There are many unweird or much less weird ways to show you are a loving parent. And if it's not your child in the photo? It's weirder. If you don't believe me, try this experiment. Show three different profile photo options to your friends and family. Even strangers will do. Two of the photos options can be of you kissing a child on the mouth. The other option can be of you, or a cat or a wire hanger. If your audience is socially adjusted they will choose the non mouth kiss photo every time. If they don't, then you know the people who are around you are equally weird. So it's not really your fault. It's just the way you were brought up. But it's still time to change that profile photo.
That's Straight talk with Mark Elliot.
Hope that helped and I'll see you next time,
Mark

  1. Seriously. It freezes this one intimate, sweet second between parent and child and draws the moment out for eons. So every time you see that photo it's like, What? They are still kissing? What's it been, two, three, months now?
